ASA Sailing School
Ahoy there! Lake Tahoe is an excellent
places to develop or improve your sailing skills. This
beautiful lake offers wide open spaces to sail, deep
clean water and a variety of sailing conditions.
WHAT'S NEW
All of our class tuitions include a one year membership in the American Sailing Association. Unlike many schools we do not tack on an additional $39. Nor have we raised our rates to cover this new requirement. Please scroll to the bottom of this page to see the upcoming schedule of classes.

Introduction
To Sailing
You can handle the lines and take the helm for
2 hours of demonstration and hands on fun. Price $185 per couple. Please call or email us to make arrangements for this class.

Basic
Keelboat/Basic Coastal Cruising Package (6 days)
Save $50 per person by taking both classes as a
package. Prerequisite to joining our Sailing Club.

Basic
Keelboat Sailing Classes Parts A & B (2 days each)
The Basic Keelboat Classes teach the fundamentals
of sailing with an emphasis on the interaction of
the wind, the boat and the sails. Price For "A" Class $350--"B" Class $345 |
Bareboat
Chartering Standard
An Intermediate class where students spend 2 days
and a night aboard a 27' to 32' yacht. This class
is held at Lake Tahoe, or other special

Basic
Cruising (2 days)
Learn to sail boats from 20 to 30 feet in length.
An emphasis on operating under auxilary power. Anchoring,
reefing, heaving-to and other basic skills. Price $350. |
Coastal
Navigation Standard
Develop the skills to navigate a sailing vessel
in coastal or inland waters. This is a Home Study course that is completed with an exam for ASA Certification. The exam is taken at one of our locations in Carson City, Lake Tahoe or Lake Mead. Price $189 per person. |

Cancellation Policy; A full class credit will be issued to you if for any reason you must cancel your sailing class. Credit is good for two years after the first date of enrollment. Credits are transferable to friends or family members. Cash refunds are granted if you purchased Refund Insurance (see below).
Refund Insurance; Unexpected events sometimes arise and force us to change our plans. Sailing Ventures offers our sailing students Refund Insurance for $45 per class and per student--due at the time of enrollment. Refund Insurance entitles you to a full refund of class tuition should you cancel your enrollment more than 14 days prior to the start of your class. If you cancel within 14 days of the start of your class, you will receive a full credit of your tuition valid for 2 years from your original class date. Credit is transferable to friends and family members, and is good for all Sailing Ventures classes.
